Comprehensive support for mothers, focusing on both their physical and mental well-being.

  • During our initial session, time is spent getting to know you, your values and important roles, and any contributing factors to your current health challenge. Based on this information, personal goals are set, and recommendations are provided to help the client work toward these goals.

  • The service includes referrals to additional healthcare providers, if required to support your overall wellness, such as naturopaths or dieticians.

  • Regular treatment sessions monitor the client’s progress, assess how they’re feeling, and adapt recommendations based on feedback. These sessions aim to support the client in establishing meaningful activities and routines while preparing mothers for the challenges of postpartum life.

  • Support is specifically tailored to address maternal mental health, offering validation for the difficulties of motherhood, including sleeplessness, changes in identity, mental load, and mom guilt. Additionally, we focus on skill-building, such as setting boundaries and becoming more assertive in asking for what you need. Our sessions may also address unhelpful thinking patterns, teach calming strategies, and provide techniques for nervous system regulation to help manage sensory overload, anxiety, and trauma responses.

Child OT Assessment and Treatment

BOOK A CONSULTATION

Compassionate and tailored support for infants, children, and adolescents (ages 0-17) who face challenges in their daily lives.

  • It begins with the parent filling out an intake form to detail the child's strengths, interests, and areas of difficulty. The assessment process includes conversations with the parent, observing the child’s interactions, and examining specific challenges, such as eating a meal or engaging in play.

  • Goals for therapy are collaboratively set by both the parent and the child, depending on the child’s age and ability to understand their challenges. Parents and children are educated about the factors contributing to the difficulties and are provided with strategies to either build skills or modify tasks to foster success.

  • The service offers practical recommendations, resources, and tools to help children achieve their goals and be more confident in themselves, supporting them in activities like eating, dressing, sleeping, toilet training, grooming, school participation, social interactions, and leisure activities.

"We are feeling a renewed sense of hope when it comes to tackling poops with our daughter, and we really appreciate your help! [After our first virtual call] I'm so happy to let you know that we had an effortless, tear free poop yesterday! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! [After trying the strategies I suggested for a few weeks] It's been a complete change since we met with you and implemented the strategies. It's amazing!"

"Cindy showed my daughter ways to identify her emotions and coping strategies when she was struggling with hard emotions at school and home. We have used the things Cindy taught her to help our whole family communicate better. Would recommend Cindy to anyone!"
