Investing in yourself is always hard. I used to have a really hard time with this. When I started investing in myself and witnessed all the positive changes it made in my life I wished I had done it so much sooner! Feeling better in mind, body and spirit can’t help but spill over into your relationships; making you a more present and connected mom, partner, daughter, sister, friend.

My hope is that you will look back on your life and memories with your family with mostly joy! You deserve to feel supported in body, mind, and spirit through all of life’s transitions. You were never meant to do it alone.

This is such a common question and I am so glad you asked! An OT specializes in helping people through times of transition (motherhood, return to work after mat leave, perimenopause), illness, or injury to establish some kind of balance back in their lives. Our approach is holistic, thereby assessing one’s physical health, mental health, social supports, alignment with one’s values, with a keen awareness of the cultural, historical, and familial environments in which you are living. So many different things contribute to your overall health and well-being and we don’t want to miss a single thing. We can help you with the more practical everyday routines of caring for yourself and a little one. Being client and family centered, you will be the driver behind setting your own goals. No one can tell you what is most important to you! We often provide written or typed recommendations so that you can refer back to them when you have forgotten certain details.

I have received Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy training through Postpartum Support International which not everyone will have. I would highly recommend making sure the therapist you choose has this training so they are familiar with the unique challenges prenatal and postpartum women face.

Cindy is an incredible person and therapist. Her mommy group was amazing to attend even when my little one wasn't born yet! She is informative, patient, and so so supportive of moms!
